Committees

Club and Member Outreach & Marketing

This committee shall:

• organize representation at regional events to provide updates of the Foundation
• develop standard Foundation presentations
• review ways to provide outreach to clubs and members
• develop and execute a plan to review and update all marketing materials of the Foundation including brochures, website and social media
• develop and publish Annual Report of the Foundation
• develop and publish quarterly newsletter for the Foundation

Executive

This committee shall:

• oversee operations of the board including committee initiatives and activities

Finance and Investment

This committee shall:

• ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and accountability for funds
• ensure adequate financial controls
• collaborate with the investment broker
• oversee the audit and tax filing

Fundraising & Rose Sale

This committee shall:

• develop and execute a plan to identify and solicit funds from external sources of support
• organize the basket room and silent auctions at the annual Kiwanis Mid-Year event and District Convention
• organize the annual mailing to clubs and members including planning and distribution of materials
• develop and execute a plan to promote and advocate for the Legacy Society
• develop and execute a plan for the annual Rose Sale including planning, distribution of materials, sales and delivery
• provide a detailed final report to the Board of Directors upon conclusion of the Rose Sale

Governance and Board Development

This committee shall:

• ensure effective board processes, structures and roles, committee development and board education
• work to review the bylaws and create a board policy code for approval
• work with the Kiwanis District Board to form the nominations committee of directors for the Kiwanis District Convention

Grants and Scholarships

This committee shall:

• administer the grant application process and distribution of funding
• develop and execute a plan to seek ways to increase outreach with the Kiwanis Family for future grants and opportunities
• develop and execute a plan for the annual Scholarship process including planning, distribution of materials, selection, communication, and distribution of funding
• provide a detailed final report to the Board of Directors upon conclusion of the scholarship selection process

Strategic Planning

This committee shall:

• develop and execute a plan to develop a Strategic Plan for the Foundation
• manage the plan’s execution
